The Dovells

The Dovells were an American doo-wop group that originated in Philadelphia, forming at Overbrook High School in 1957. Initially performing under the name The Brooktones, the ensemble consisted of Arnie Silver, Len Borisoff, Jerry Gross, Mike Freda, and Jim Mealey. The group achieved early regional success with their debut single "No, No, No," which gained traction in local markets. Their tight harmonies and traditional doo-wop sound established them within the mid-Atlantic vocal group scene during the late 1950s.
