The Five Satins are an American doo-wop ensemble that emerged in 1954, initially comprising six vocalists before reducing to five members. The group achieved major commercial success with their 1956 hit "In the Still of the Night," which became a million-selling record and remains their signature work. The Five Satins sustained their career through four decades, performing actively until 1994. Their contributions to the doo-wop genre have been recognized through their induction into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
