The Paramounts

The Paramounts were a British rhythm and blues group active from September 1960 to September 1966. Based in Great Britain, they performed across the genres of rhythm and blues, soul, and pop during their six-year tenure. The band emerged during a formative period of British popular music, contributing to the broader rhythm and blues movement that characterized the early-to-mid 1960s. Though their recording career was relatively compact, the Paramounts represented an important part of the UK's evolving music scene during that era.
