Albert Collins

Albert Collins was an American electric blues guitarist and singer born in 1932 who became known for his distinctive approach to the instrument. Performing across the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, Collins developed a powerful playing technique characterized by unconventional tunings and use of a capo. His long-standing relationship with the Fender Telecaster earned him the nickname "The Master of the Telecaster." Collins remained active in blues music until his death in 1993, leaving a significant impact on electric and Texas blues traditions.
