J.B. Lenoir
J.B. Lenoir was an American blues guitarist and singer-songwriter who became a notable figure in the Chicago blues scene during the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1929, Lenoir developed a distinctive style that balanced entertainment with artistic substance—performing energetic rhythm-and-blues numbers while also composing deeply introspective and socially conscious blues compositions. His work demonstrated both his showmanship and his skill as a lyricist capable of addressing serious themes with honesty and depth. Lenoir's career spanned nearly four decades until his death in 1967.
