The Elgins
The Elgins were an American vocal group signed to the Motown label, recording from 1965 to 1967. The group achieved their greatest commercial success with "Heaven Must Have Sent You," a single crafted by the influential production and songwriting team Holland–Dozier–Holland. The track became a hit in the United States in 1966 and found renewed popularity in the United Kingdom when reissued in 1971. The Elgins' work exemplified the rhythm and blues and pop sound that defined the Motown era of the mid-1960s.
