Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup was an American Delta blues musician whose career spanned from 1905 to 1974. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Crudup became influential in blues history partly through his compositions that gained wider recognition when covered by other artists. His 1946 song "That's All Right" and tracks such as "My Baby Left Me" and "So Glad You're Mine" achieved particular prominence after being recorded by Elvis Presley and various other performers. While Crudup remained a significant figure within blues communities throughout his life, his songwriting legacy extended his impact well beyond traditional blues audiences.
