B.B. King was an American blues guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who fundamentally shaped modern electric blues. Born Riley B. King in 1925, he developed an innovative guitar technique characterized by expressive string bending, vibrant vibrato effects, and precise picking patterns that became hugely influential among subsequent blues musicians. His contributions to electric blues, rhythm and blues, and soul music earned him recognition as one of the most significant guitarists of the late twentieth century.
