Lonnie Brooks

Loonie Brooks was an American blues musician who became a significant figure in Chicago's electric blues scene. Active from 1933 until his death in 2017, Brooks worked primarily within the blues genre, contributing to the development of electric blues during his extensive career. His work reflected the Chicago blues tradition that defined much of twentieth-century American blues music. Brooks was among the musicians affected by the 2008 Universal fire, an event that impacted numerous artists' recorded legacies.
