"Let's Dance" was the title track from David Bowie's 1983 album, co-produced by Nile Rodgers of Chic. Recording took place in late 1982 at the Power Station in New York City with engineer Bob Clearmountain's assistance. Rodgers reworked the song from its original folk rock style into a dance track using studio effects and new musicians, including then-unknown guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, who contributed a blues influence.
