"Across the Universe" is a Beatles composition written by John Lennon and credited to the Lennon-McCartney partnership. It debuted on a 1969 charity compilation album before appearing in revised form on their 1970 final studio album Let It Be. The track subsequently appeared on various compilation releases throughout the following decades. David Bowie recorded a cover version for his 1975 album Young Americans, which included contributions from Lennon himself.
