Hermetica was an Argentine heavy metal and thrash metal band that emerged in 1987 and remained active until 1994. The group became notable within the Argentine rock scene for their fusion of thrash metal intensity with Latin influences, helping to define the sound of rock argentino during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their music blended aggressive metallic instrumentation with elements rooted in their cultural heritage, distinguishing them from their international contemporaries. Though their time together was relatively brief, Hermetica left a significant mark on South American heavy metal.
