The Weavers
Gordon Jenkins & The Weavers was an American vocal group that emerged in 1948. The ensemble became known for their contributions to folk and popular music during the 1950s and early 1960s. Active for over a decade, the group maintained a presence in the American music scene until 1964. Their work reflected the folk revival movement of their era, blending traditional American songs with contemporary arrangements. The group's recordings became part of music history, though much of their discography was tragically lost in the 2008 Universal fire.
