Danny & the Juniors were an American vocal group from Philadelphia who pioneered doo-wop and rock and roll in the mid-1950s. Formed in 1955 by Danny Rapp, Dave White, Frank Maffei, and Joe Terranova, the group achieved major commercial success with their 1957 single "At the Hop," which reached number one on the charts. They followed this success with another notable hit in 1958, "Rock and Roll Is Here to Stay," establishing themselves as significant figures in the early rock and roll era. The group remained active through 1964.
