The Bluegrass Cardinals

The Bluegrass Cardinals were a bluegrass ensemble based in Los Angeles, California, active from 1974 to 1997. The group gained recognition for pioneering the recording of bluegrass gospel music performed a cappella, a distinctive approach that set them apart within the genre. Founded in 1974, the band continued for more than two decades until disbanding in 1997 following founding member Don Parmley's retirement from music.
