The Stanley Brothers were an American bluegrass duo consisting of brothers Carter and Ralph Stanley. Beginning in 1946, the pair performed with their backing ensemble, The Clinch Mountain Boys, establishing themselves as influential figures in bluegrass music through the mid-1960s. Following Carter's death in 1966, Ralph continued performing under the band's name as a solo artist for several decades. The Stanley Brothers' significant contributions to the genre were recognized with their induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2026.
