Solange Knowles is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who demonstrated musical talent early in her career. She initially worked as a backup dancer for Destiny's Child, the group that included her sister Beyoncé, before launching her solo career through Music World Entertainment, her father's label. At sixteen, she released her debut studio album Solo Star in 2002. Beyond music, Knowles has appeared in films including Johnson Family Vacation and Bring It On: All or Nothing. Her work spans soul, neo-soul, contemporary R&B, and alternative R&B genres.
