Mägo de Oz is a Spanish folk metal band from Madrid, established in mid-1988 by drummer Txus di Fellatio. The group distinguishes itself through a pronounced Celtic influence, achieved largely by their integration of violin and flute into their heavy metal sound. The band's name reflects the founders' philosophy of life as a shared journey toward fulfilling one's aspirations. In 2018, Mägo de Oz marked three decades of activity with a commemorative concert performed alongside a symphony orchestra at Madrid's WiZink Center, underscoring their enduring presence in the metal and folk music scenes.
