Lordi is a Finnish hard rock and speed metal band from Rovaniemi, formed in 1992 by frontman Mr Lordi, who serves as the group's lead vocalist, songwriter, and costume designer. The band is renowned for their theatrical performances, which feature elaborate monster costumes, horror-themed visuals, and pyrotechnic displays. Lordi gained widespread recognition in 2002 following the success of their single "Would You Love a Monsterman?" Their career reached a major milestone in 2006 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest with "Hard Rock Hallelujah," bringing international attention to their distinctive blend of heavy metal and horror entertainment.
