James Brown's song was first recorded for his 1964 album "Out of Sight" and subsequently released as a single in 1965 using an alternate recording version. The track appeared on a compilation album sharing the same name. It achieved his highest position on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and remains one of his most recognizable songs. The 1965 recording was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2013.
