Icon of Coil

Icon of Coil is a Norwegian electronic music band that emerged from Andy LaPlegua's solo project in 1997. The project evolved into a full ensemble when Sebastian Komor, LaPlegua's former bandmate from Sector 9, joined for live performances and eventually became a permanent member following the single Shallow Nation. Christian Lund completed the lineup in 2000, the same year the band released their debut album, Serenity is the Devil, which achieved considerable success on the Deutsche Alternative Charts. Blending elements of futurepop and EBM, Icon of Coil established themselves as notable contributors to the Norwegian electronic music scene.
