Charley Pride

Charlie Pride was an American country music singer born on March 18, 1934. Before establishing himself in music, Pride played professional baseball in the Negro leagues during the early 1950s. He subsequently transitioned to a career in country music, where he became a prominent figure in the genre. Pride's work spanned traditional country, country rock, and country pop styles. He remained active in the music industry until his death on December 12, 2020, from COVID-19.
