Changes represents the ninth studio album released by the Monkees in 1970 through Colgems Records. The album was created following Michael Nesmith's departure from the band, with only Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones remaining to complete their recording obligations from their mid-1960s contract. It marked the final new album the group would produce for Colgems Records and their last collection of entirely original material before Pool It! in 1987.
