More of the Monkees is the band's second studio album, released in 1967 on Colgems Records and recorded in late 1966. It replaced their debut album at the top of the Billboard chart, where it remained for 18 weeks—the longest tenure of any Monkees album. The album also reached No. 1 in the UK and achieved quintuple platinum certification in the U.S., representing over five million copies sold. It was the first pop album to become the year's best-selling album in America.
