Big Hutch is an American rapper and producer best known as the founder and leader of the hip hop group Above the Law. Operating under the stage names Big Hutch and Cold 187um, he emerged in the hip hop scene beginning in 1967 and became a prominent figure in gangsta rap. Beyond his work as a performing artist, Hutch established himself as a music producer and entrepreneur, launching his own record label to manage his recording projects and maintain creative control over his artistic output.
