Andrew Lloyd Webber is a British composer and theatrical producer specializing in musical theatre. Born in 1948, he emerged as a major figure in contemporary classical music and stage production. His compositions include 21 musicals, numerous of which have achieved exceptional longevity in London's West End and New York's Broadway theatres. Beyond musicals, Webber has created a song cycle, variations for orchestra, two film scores, and a Latin Requiem Mass. His prolific output and commercial success have established him as one of the most influential composers in modern musical theatre.
