Dave Brubeck
Dave was an American musician active from 1920 to 2012, working across classical and jazz idioms. He became associated with cool jazz and West Coast jazz movements, and later explored third stream music, which blended jazz with classical elements. Over his lengthy career spanning more than nine decades, Dave contributed to the development of jazz and blues traditions in the United States. He was affected by the 2008 Universal fire, a significant event that impacted numerous artists and their archives.
