Tubeway Army
Tubeway Army was a British punk and new wave band that emerged in 1977 during the height of the punk movement. Operating until 1979, the group was instrumental in bridging the gap between raw punk energy and the emerging post-punk and new wave aesthetics of the era. Based in the United Kingdom, Tubeway Army helped define the sound of late-1970s British rock with their fusion of punk rock aggression and experimental new wave sensibilities.
