Spanky & Our Gang

Spanky and Our Gang was an American sunshine pop band that emerged in 1966, fronted by lead vocalist Elaine "Spanky" McFarlane. The group took its name from the 1930s comedy series Our Gang, as McFarlane's surname recalled that of the series' child star George McFarland. Known for their distinctive vocal harmonies, the band achieved significant commercial success in the United States and Canada during 1967 and 1968, with hit singles including "Sunday Will Never Be the Same," "Lazy Day," "Sunday Mornin'," and "Like to Get to Know You." The group remained active until 1975.
