The Real McKenzies

The Real McKenzies are a Canadian Celtic punk band established in 1992 in Vancouver, British Columbia. As pioneers of the Celtic punk genre in Canada, they helped establish a distinctive musical fusion that blends traditional Celtic influences with punk rock energy. Though Celtic punk had precedents internationally, the Real McKenzies were among the earliest practitioners of this style. Founding member Paul McKenzie has remained the group's sole continuous member throughout their tenure, anchoring the band's evolving lineup and sound.
