No Use for a Name

No Use for a Name was an American punk rock band from Sunnyvale, California, active from 1986 to 2012. The group, founded by Chris Dodge, Steve Papoutsis, and Rory Koff, became known for their dynamic approach to punk music. Throughout their career, their sound shifted from Bay Area punk influences to heavier, metallic-tinged compositions before settling into a more melodic punk style. The band disbanded in September 2012 following the death of vocalist Tony Sly, with remaining members ending the project as a tribute to him.
