Raekwon

Raekwon is an American rapper who emerged as a founding member of Wu-Tang Clan, the influential hip-hop collective that achieved mainstream recognition with their 1993 debut album. Born Corey Woods, he subsequently established himself as a solo artist, releasing his first album in 1995. That debut solo effort earned widespread critical praise and is frequently cited among the most significant hip-hop albums of the 1990s. Operating within the east coast hip-hop and boom bap traditions, Raekwon has remained a central figure in hardcore rap since the early 1970s.
