Dennis Brown was a Jamaican reggae artist who became one of the genre's most prolific and influential figures. Beginning his recording career as a child in the late 1960s, he went on to release over 75 albums throughout his lifetime. Brown was instrumental in establishing lovers rock as a major reggae subgenre, and earned widespread recognition from peers and fans alike. Bob Marley famously identified him as his favourite vocalist and bestowed upon him the title "The Crown Prince of Reggae." His legacy continued to shape reggae music and inspire subsequent generations of artists.
