Procol Harum

Procol Harum were an English rock band established in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, in 1967. The group achieved international prominence with their 1967 debut single "A Whiter Shade of Pale," which became one of the most commercially successful singles ever released, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Their sound blended psychedelic rock with baroque and classical elements, incorporating influences from blues, R&B, and soul to create a distinctive proto-progressive style. Active for over five decades, Procol Harum remained influential figures in rock music until their dissolution in 2022.
