Martin Gore is an English musician and songwriter born in 1961. As a founding member of Depeche Mode, he has served as the band's principal songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist since the group's formation. Though he occasionally performs lead vocals, his tenor voice typically complements the baritone of frontman Dave Gahan. Gore is recognized for his distinctive songwriting contributions and theatrical stage presence. Beyond his work with Depeche Mode, he has pursued a solo career and collaborated with former bandmate Vince Clarke under the project name VCMG, establishing himself as a significant figure in electronic and synth-pop music.
