The Andrews Sisters were an American vocal group consisting of three sisters—LaVerne, Maxene, and Patricia Andrews—who became major figures in swing and boogie-woogie music. Active from 1937 to 1953, the trio achieved remarkable commercial success, selling approximately 80 million records. Their close harmonies defined the sound of the era, with notable hits including "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Beer Barrel Polka," and "Rum and Coca-Cola," the latter helping introduce calypso music to mainstream American audiences. The group's energetic performances and distinctive vocal arrangements made them one of the most successful recording acts of their time.
