Larks' Tongues in Aspic is King Crimson's fifth studio album, released in March 1973 through Island Records in the UK and Atlantic Records in North America. The album marked the introduction of a reconstituted band lineup, retaining guitarist Robert Fripp while adding four new members: bassist and vocalist John Wetton, violinist and keyboardist David Cross, drummer Bill Bruford, and percussionist Jamie Muir. The album represents an important moment in the band's development, incorporating Eastern European modernist classical music and free improvisation as major stylistic elements.
