Kool G Rap

Nathaniel Thomas Wilson, known professionally as Kool G Rap, is an American rapper who emerged as a major figure in hip-hop during the mid-1980s. He initially gained prominence as one half of Kool G Rap & DJ Polo and as part of the influential Juice Crew collective. Recognized as one of the most skilled and influential MCs in rap history, he helped pioneer the mafioso rap subgenre and established himself as an innovator in hardcore hip-hop with his complex multisyllabic rhyming style. The meaning of the "G" in his stage name has varied in his own accounts, attributed to both "Giancana" and "Genius" across different contexts.
