King T
Roger McBride, professionally known as King Tee, is an American West Coast hip hop artist from Compton, California. Born in 1968, he emerged as one of Compton's pioneering rappers, establishing himself with his 1988 debut album on Capitol Records. The project yielded several defining tracks including "Act a Fool," "Payback's A Mutha," and "Bass" (Remix), which became recognized as hip-hop classics. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, King Tee collaborated extensively with producer DJ Pooh and played a significant role in developing Tha Alkaholiks' career. Beyond performing, he founded and operates King T Inc., his own record label.
