Ice-T is an American rapper and actor from the United States, born in 1958. He emerged as an underground hip-hop artist during the 1980s before signing to Sire Records in 1987, releasing his debut album Rhyme Pays. That same year, he established his own record label, Rhyme $yndicate Records. His 1988 album Power became his only platinum-certified release in the United States. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Ice-T achieved critical and commercial success with several gold-certified albums, including The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech... Just Watch What You Say!, O.G. Original Gangster, and Home Invasion. Beyond rap, he has also pursued a career in heavy metal and acting, establishing himself as a prominent figure in both hip-hop and entertainment.
