"Valley of Tears" was written by Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew and performed by Domino. Released as a single by Imperial Records in April 1957, the song achieved significant chart success, reaching number two on the R&B chart and number eight on the Hot 100. The B-side track "It's You I Love" also charted successfully, reaching number six on the Hot 100 that same year. Both tracks appear on Domino's 1957 album.
