The Judds

The Judds were an American country music duo featuring lead vocalist and guitarist Wynonna Judd alongside her mother Naomi on backup vocals. After signing to RCA Records in 1983, they released six studio albums and became one of the most successful acts in country music history. The pair earned five Grammy Awards for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and nine Country Music Association awards, while charting more than twenty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, with fourteen reaching number one. The group disbanded in 1991 following Naomi's hepatitis C diagnosis. Wynonna subsequently launched a successful solo career, though the duo reunited for occasional performances.
