The Samuel Jackson Five

The Jackson 5, now performing as the Jacksons, is an American pop ensemble formed in Gary, Indiana in 1964. The group originally featured five brothers—Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael—under the management of their father Joe Jackson. As pioneers in crossing racial and genre boundaries, the Jackson 5 became among the first African American artists to cultivate a diverse, multi-genre audience. Their influence on popular music and entertainment remains significant.
