This track was composed by Diane Warren and Albert Hammond specifically for Chicago's 1988 album Chicago 19. Bill Champlin provided lead vocal performances. It marked a significant milestone as the first Chicago single where Champlin handled all lead vocal duties independently, and also debuted new guitarist Dawayne Bailey. Released as the album's lead single, it achieved considerable commercial success by peaking at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The accompanying B-side was a composition by Robert Lamm and Gerard McMahon titled "I Stand Up," and the song later appeared in the Netflix adaptation of Death Note.
