Haris Alexiou is a prominent Greek singer whose career has extended across more than five decades. Born in 1950, she has become one of Greece's most celebrated vocalists, working extensively with renowned Greek songwriters and composers. Her performances have taken her to prestigious concert halls worldwide, and she has recorded over thirty albums while also appearing on recordings by other artists. In 2010, Alpha TV recognized her as Greece's top-certified female artist in the phonographic era. Alexiou holds the distinction of being the highest-selling Greek female recording artist and third overall in Greek music history, with eight of her albums released between 1977 and 2003 achieving combined sales of 11 million copies—a milestone no other Greek female artist has reached.
