Conway Twitty was an American singer and songwriter born Harold Lloyd Jenkins who became a prominent figure in both rockabilly and country music. Rising to prominence during the 1950s rockabilly era, he later transitioned into a successful country music career. Between 1971 and 1976, Twitty achieved significant acclaim for his duet recordings with Loretta Lynn, earning multiple Country Music Association awards during this period. His influential contributions to American music were recognized through his induction into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
