Glenn Burtnick was an American jazz vocalist and performer active during the swing era, from 1904 to 1944. Working primarily in big band and sweet band contexts, Burtnick became known for his contributions to vocal jazz standards of the period. His career coincided with the golden age of American swing music, a time when vocalists played central roles in popular ensemble arrangements. Burtnick's work exemplified the polished vocal style characteristic of 1930s and 1940s jazz ensembles. His life and career were cut short in 1944.
