GG Allin
G.G. Allin was an American punk rock musician known for his provocative and controversial live performances spanning several decades. Active from the late 1950s until his death in 1993, Allin performed and recorded with numerous bands across punk, hardcore punk, and related genres. His shows became notorious for featuring extreme transgressive acts, including self-harm and confrontations with audiences, which resulted in multiple arrests and imprisonments. Despite—or because of—his shocking stage presence, Allin became a legendary and polarizing figure in rock music history, recognized for pushing the boundaries of performance art and punk rock excess.
