African Herbsman is a 1973 reissue by Trojan Records of material originally recorded for Soul Revolution Part II in 1971. The original album had only received a limited release within Jamaica. This repackaged version came out shortly after Bob Marley and the Wailers released their major-label debut through Island Records called Catch a Fire.
