Animal Boy is the ninth studio album by the American punk rock band Ramones, released through Sire Records in May 1986. Internal group conflicts resulted in reduced contributions from lead singer Joey Ramone in both performance and songwriting, as well as decreased involvement from guitarist Johnny Ramone. Bassist Dee Dee Ramone took on expanded writing and vocal duties, while drummer Richie Ramone became the first drummer since the band's original drummer to write songs for the group. The album generated four singles that charted on the UK Singles Chart and other music charts.
